Our story

It started with one basket and a very long roll of ribbon.

I started Gift Wonderland at my kitchen table, putting together a hamper for a friend who'd just had a baby because nothing in the shops felt right. Five years on, I still wrap every single order myself — nothing here comes shrink-wrapped off a warehouse shelf.

Most of what goes inside comes from small makers I know, usually within an hour of Harrogate: fudge from a woman who sells at the Thursday market, candles from a soap maker two streets over, chocolate from a family-run shop that's been there longer than I have. If it's in a Gift Wonderland hamper, I'd give it as a gift myself.
